Intervention
Cycle
The HR | IR intervention cycle
A common methodology to both CHRP and CIRC
The intervention cycle encompasses all the steps human resources or industrial relations professionals must follow to analyze and address an issue. When exercising their advisory role, they will autonomously apply the complete intervention process to carry out their mandate and to meet the client’s needs.
The intervention cycle consists of four steps:
- Formulate a professional judgement
- Design the intervention
- Implement the intervention plan
- Assess the intervention
For each of these steps, the professional will take action, such as collecting information to identify the need, assessing the situation or making recommendations.
