An inescapable aspect emerged during the workshops: testifying to the multiplicity of contexts of practice in a complex world and the need for the Guide to discuss them. Moreover, this notion is an integral part of Boudreault’s definition (2002), which is the theoretical framework used to develop this Guide.
Accordingly, the Guide proposes an analysis grid so it can be customized for each professional. This grid will enable the collection of data that is not yet widely accessible. In addition to helping perform a better comparative assessment of professionals, it will improve understanding of the contexts of practice within which HR/IR professionals operate, and potentially influence the services offered by the Ordre to its members.
